Movies
These are just some of the movies that I and my fellow geek buddies love.
1. Star Trek- The 2009 version is amazing. It covers the story of the beginning of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701 and the captainship of James Tiberius Kirk.
2. Star Wars Series- This is a series of six movies: The Phantom Menace, The Attack of the Clones, The Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Return of the Jedi. They tell the story with the setting “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” It is an instant classic series about the rebellion of the good guys against the Empire.
3. X-Men Trilogy and X-Men Origins: This is a Marvel movie series about a race of mutant superheroes and their battle to protect those who hate and fear them. X-Men Origins is the (obviously) series about the origins of the X-Men heroes.
4. Close Encounters of the Third Kind- This is a classic sci-fi movie about aliens and people who are sent signals and visions that lead them to the aliens.
5. Hot Rod- A hilarious comedy starring SNL cast member, Andy Samberg. It tells the story of an amateur stunt man and his attempt to save his step dad’s life so he can finally beat him to death.
6. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World- A very, very funny movie in which Scott Pilgrim must defeat his new girlfriend’s 7 evil exes. It may look like a stupid movie but it’s ”An Epic of Epic Epicness.”
